ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY
POSITION: ALLIED HEALTH INSTRUCTOR
9 Month Contract Full-time Position (renewable contract position)
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Allied Health Instructor will teach 15 credit hours of classes each
semester. The predominately onsite teaching assignment will include classes
such as Nurse Aide, Home Health Aide, and Medication Aide. The position
is responsible for student advising, academic program development and
division participation, committee and task force service, and individual
professional development.
Position Description
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Hold a current Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license,
2. Minimum of two years full-time licensed nursing experience (RN)
including one of the following:
At least 1,750 hours of that experience must be as a licensed nurse in a
setting which demonstrates long-term nursing care, such as an adult care
home, long term care unit of a hospital or a state institution or
Complete at least 7 hours professional continuing education in Person
Centered Care for the Adult Care Home.
3. Meet at least one of the following requirements:
Experience supervising nurse aides or
Experience teaching adults or
Complete a course in teaching adults or
Complete a professional continuing education offering on supervision or
adult education.
LOCATION: Iola Campus office location. On-campus office hours are required of the
position.
SALARY: \$50,000-\$55,000; An excellent benefits package is available.
STARTING DATE: August 8, 2024 (Classes begin August 19th)
