Motorcoach Operator Job Description:
Drives bus to transport passengers over specified or irregular routes to local or distant points according to schedules and/or itineraries. Assists passengers loading and unloading and in some cases collects tickets. Regulates Heating and air systems, lighting, and audio/video systems for passenger comfort. Complies with local traffic regulations and applicable state and federal regulations. Reports delays or accidents. Inspects bus as required per FMCSA rules and company policies. Loads and unloads baggage in baggage compartment. Fuels vehicles when necessary. Reads schedules and itineraries, interprets maps, processes accident and incident reports, and prepares all necessary company paperwork (including, but not limited to DVIRs, Log Sheets, Work tickets).
