Summary:

The Talent Development Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing talent development programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of employees. This role involves identifying training needs, developing learning strategies, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Responsibilities and Expectations

Training Needs Analysis:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify skill gaps and training needs across the organization.

Collaborate with departmental managers and HR business partners to understand business goals and performance objectives.

Learning Strategy and Program Design:

In coordination with the Director of Talent Development, develop a strategic approach to talent development aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

Design and implement training programs, workshops, and initiatives to address identified needs.

Utilize various learning methodologies, including instructor-led training, e-learning, and blended learning approaches.

Training Delivery and Facilitation:

Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars for employees at all levels. Serve as a back-up to team members as needed.

Partner with external trainers or vendors as needed to deliver specialized training programs.

Provide coaching and support to trainers and facilitators to ensure high-quality delivery.

Performance Evaluation and Feedback:

Implement mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of training programs and measure learning outcomes.

Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve program design and delivery.

Analyze training metrics and reports to evaluate ROI and make data-driven decisions.

Leadership Development:

Design and implement leadership development programs to cultivate future leaders within the organization.

Oversee our entire emerging leader program.

Oversee our leadership development program for new college graduates. Serve as their mentor and oversee their rotations throughout the program.

Management:

Provide effective leadership to the Talent Development team, setting clear goals and expectations.

Inspire team members to perform at their best.

Manage and oversee the performance of team members, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation and development.

Allocate resources effectively, including team resources and financial resources.

Foster clear communication with the team and other departments and stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Projects:

Projects as assigned by the CHRO, the Director of Talent Development or other senior leadership.

Required Skills & Education

Bachelors degree in human resources, Organizational Development or related field (Masters degree preferred).

Experience working in a corporate role in training and development.

Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.

Experience with lear ning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.

Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.

Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and assess program effectiveness.

Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.

Additional Information:

This position will require occasional travel for training delivery or professional development events up to 20% of the time.

Other duties as assigned.
