M&T Bank Senior Learning & Development Manager in Abilene, Kansas

Location – Remote Eligible but will require Travel - 50% to various locations with M&T Bank Footprint

Who we need:

Senior Learning & Developmen Managers are leaders who inspire executive-level colleagues, clients, and prospective clients to learn and apply leadership competencies to their work. As a member of the Human Resources Department, you’ll proactively take a leadership role on the delivery team, in Learning and Development, and in M&T Human Resources.

Your Typical Day

You seek ways to meaningfully add value to the M&T Learning & Development team, OneHR, and clients and prospective clients in our Community Banking regions.

  • Collaborate with M&T Learning & Development team, business line leaders, and client leadership to design and conduct high-impact trainings for teams and leaders

  • Facilitate training courses that develop executive teams professionally and seek to meaningfully deepen relationships with those executives

  • Proactively seek ways to strategically add value to the M&T Learning & Development Delivery team, OneHR, the Community Banking regions, and clients.

Other responsibilities:

  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand

  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable

  • Complete other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in work experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years' training or related experience

  • Minimum of 2 year managerial experience

  • Various training certifications dependent upon business/function supporting.

  • Excellent knowledge of personal computers and software utilized by department.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Demonstrated experience in inspiring others and developing talent

  • Direct experience training or coaching senior-level and C-suite executives

  • Demonstrated experience in selflessly helping peers grow and meet their professional goals

  • Demonstrated experience in motivating executives to adopt new leadership behaviors to improve performance

  • Demonstrated experience in strategically leading through ambiguity and complexity
