Essential duties and responsibilities of the Family and Youth Specialist:
- Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language
- Serves as a Family Support Specialist for TPCs Family and Youth Success Program (formally known as STAR Program) providing direct care to family and youth
- Direct Care position that will be responsible for screening and assessment, crisis intervention, implementing evidence-based curriculums, family and individual skills training, and community outreach
- Will provide services in a variety of settings including home, school, and community
- Will be providing family and youth-based services in Amarillo and Pampa region, and be willing to travel to the regional areas of the Texas Panhandle as needed
- Adheres to TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised
Required qualifications of the Family and Youth Specialist to be successful in the job:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
- For Case Manager II, minimum one (1) year of experience directly working with at-risk youth and families
- For Case Manager III, minimum two (2) years of experience directly working with at-risk youth and families
- Graduate work may be substituted for up to one (1) year of experience
- Must have a valid Texas drivers license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred qualifications of the Family and Youth Specialist to be successful in the job:
