Child Advocacy Center (CAC) Director

The CAC Directors role is to facilitate a successful functioning Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the CAC. The goal of the work is to maximize team relations among interagency partners who will engage in joint investigations and handling of cases involving physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect of a child. The CAC Director will focus on creating and maintaining an environment that reduces stress and trauma for child victims. The CAC Director will be responsible for all correspondence with the MDT, as well as maintaining records for the NCA Accreditation Standards, and supervision of the Family Advocate/Forensic Interviewers.

Management:

  • Oversees daily functions of Sunlight Child Advocacy Center, to ensure the facility is functioning well, and meeting set goals.

{=html} <!-- --> - Develop and ensure proper implementation of programming by setting goals and objectives and monitoring progress.

{=html} <!-- --> - Prepare board reports and assist with grant reporting and statistic gathering.

{=html} <!-- --> - Serve as a backup forensic interview and attend all required training to remain current for accreditation standards as well as professionally.

{=html} <!-- --> - Complete Family Advocate/Forensic Interviewers yearly performance reviews, document meetings, and provide progressive discipline as outlined in agency policies.

STAFFING:

  • Manages Sunlight Child Advocacy Centers payroll.

{=html} <!-- --> - Assists with training and orientation for CAC staff.

{=html} <!-- --> - Complete CAC employee discipline.

{=html} <!-- --> - Schedule and lead staff meetings.

ACCREDITATION & MDT:

  • Prepare for and maintain all required documentation for National Childrens Alliance accreditation.

{=html} <!-- --> - Review policies and procedures yearly to ensure they are up to date with current CAC practices and meet NCA requirements.

{=html} <!-- --> - Have yearly meetings with each partnering agency to review MOU and interagency agreements, and update these agreements as needed.

{=html} <!-- --> - Schedule, coordinate and facilitate case reviews monthly of cases handled by the MDT.

{=html} <!-- --> - Oversee the collection and completion of case tracking as required by NCA.

{=html} <!-- --> - Coordinate training for MDT members, including registration, hotel accommodations, and reimbursements for expenses.

{=html} <!-- --> - Research and distribute training opportunities for MDT members.

{=html} <!-- --> - Prepare and facilitate quarterly MDT cross-training sessions to ensure MDT members are up to date regarding changes in each discipline.

{=html} <!-- --> - Utilizing the agencys community needs assessment, identify gaps that the MDT could fill and develop plans to fill those gaps.
