We are seeking an energetic, skilled​ Maintenance Technician for openings in our facility in Ark City, KS.

We operate 24 / 7, 7 days per week. Shift is 10pm-6am, this opportunity will require flexibility to work weekends and overtime.

JOB SUMMARY:

Skilled position responsible for the efficient performance of a variety of building, installation, maintenance and repair tasks in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical repair, welding, sheet metal work, auto mechanics and wastewater facilities repair.

COMPENSATION

The expected compensation range for this position is: $20.00 + .50 shift differential when worked.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshooting complicated mechanical systems and monitoring operations throughout the facility including mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

  • Perform preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance of process equipment throughout the plant.

  • Troubleshoot minor plumbing, building repair and maintenance.

  • Responsible for monitoring equipment performance. Recognizing deviation from “normal operation” and rectifying it.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED, plus two (2) year of experience as a skilled worker in one or more of the electrical, mechanical, or construction trades.

  • Mechanical aptitude to disassemble and reassemble all types of equipment.

  • Must have reliable transportation.

  • Must have experience with electrical, electro-mechanical, or pneumatics.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings preferred.

  • Experience with troubleshooting preferred.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills.

  • Must have strong problem-solving skills.

  • Must be a self-motivated individual.

  • Ability to work well with others and be a team member.

  • Must have safe work habits.

  • Must show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work.

  • Must be comfortable with heights and confined spaces.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
