Landscape Laborer

Job Duties: Mowing, weed trimming, and raking or clean-up of leaves with blowers. Also, installation, pruning, and trimming of plants, trees, and shrubs. Placing and tilling dirt, mulch, compost, and sod. General landscape labor using landscape equipment for landscape installation and maintenance. Loading and unloading of materials and equipment. Lifting required up to 50 pounds. Work performed on local area jobsites with employer provided transportation to and from the jobsites from a centralized pickup location in the specified area of employment.

No experience required. On-the-job training provided. No education required.

\$16.45 - \$18.00/hr. Wage range based on experience and performance. \$24.68 - \$27.00/hr. O.T. The employer will offer 40 hours of work with a 1 hr. lunch each workday, 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m., M-F, Some O.T. and weekends may be available, but are not guaranteed.

5 positions available for temporary, full-time, peak load work.

Dates of Employment Offered: 3/20/2025 - 11/30/2025.

Jobsites located in: Shawnee, Osage, and Wabaunsee Counties. Employer provided transportation to and from area jobsites from a centralized pickup location in the specified area of employment.

The employer will use a single workweek for computing wages due. Pay will be bi-weekly.

Assistance securing lodging is available. Optional Low-Cost Housing, not including utilities, is available for relocating workers only, to be paid by payroll deductions. Optional pay advances are available as needed upon arrival for relocating workers only.

Other benefits provided to U.S. and H2B workers are the following: A vehicle may be provided, but not guaranteed, for relocating workers only to run errands during their time off, and not to be taken outside city limits; Workers pay for their own gas and insurance.

The employer will make all deductions required by law from each paycheck.

Additional deductions include: Bi-weekly deductions of \$135.00 will be made for optional low-cost housing, and repayment of any pay advances taken will be deducted the following payday.

If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of \$15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of \$59.00 per day with receipts.

H2B workers will be reimbursed by check for visa and related fees in the first workweek.

The employer will provide, without charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job duties.

The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
