Our company is looking for a Sandblaster / Blasting Operator to join our work team. Have some training with the heavy equipment, grinding tools, and power tools that you use during this process is a plus. In addition to operating the blast booth and unloading the cabinet, you may also be asked to help with powder coating or other prep tasks after you have successfully removed the unwanted substances from the surface. As a sandblaster, your duties involve operating a sandblasting machine to clean a surface using a combination of compressed air and an abrasive material such as sand. Your gun can strip dirt, paint, adhesives, and other materials from a surface. You must be able to handle this often physically demanding workload. Your responsibilities are to properly maintain and care for your equipment and to follow safety procedures to ensure not only your safety but also the safety of people around your work area. Therefore, its essential to understand written and verbal instructions and to develop strong communication skills.
