POSITION SUMMARY:\ This position handles multiple tasks and projects to provide office support to assigned departments.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\ Perform word processing on a variety of correspondence or reports and proofread and correct to ensure accuracy and content as required. This correspondence may also include confidential information such as Performance Appraisals, Payroll Change Authorizations, etc.\ Compose short letters or memos which may also include designing or creating form letters and reports to aid in the volume of written correspondence.\ Make and ensure travel arrangements are completed and confirmed to ensure all schedules are maintained.\ Create and maintain files and files of original forms for compliance with departmental policy and for easy retrieval of all information.\ Verify and process payroll related documents including, but not limited to, timesheets (including timesheet coordination), change forms, overtime approval sheets, etc.\ Coordinate the departmental purchasing responsibility of obtaining the necessary supplies and equipment by placing orders, maintain tracking logs, and verification of all information on the invoices to ensure current and accurate records of all purchase order transactions.\ Maintain significant information databases (query runs, Browser runs etc.) to ensure the database is current and complete.\ Ensure that information is easily retrievable as required.\ Interface with others to provide instruction or training in conducting information searches, use of department databases or company software applications, and provide information and data relevant to business operations as required.\ Conduct research and compile information for monthly or quarterly reports (including budget), department projects, company task forces, and trending of performance indicators as required.\ Perform procedure manual and technical manual updates.\ Maintain meeting schedules, appointments, rooms, etc. as required.\ Perform other duties as assigned by supervision/management.
