JOB TITLE: Predictive Maintenance Analyst

PAY RANGE:
PdM Analyst I: $51,000 - $63,700
PdM Analyst II: $62,300 - $77,900
Sr PdM Analyst: $79,100 - $105,400 Lead PdM Analyst: $93,100 – $124,100

Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and other hours as needed. Nights, weekends, and extra hours will be required as plant conditions dictate.

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Reporting through Generation Reliability, this position will primarily be responsible for analyzing data, implementing predictive maintenance strategies, and optimizing the performance of motor operated valves in power plant settings. The role plays a critical part in leveraging data-driven insights to optimize the reliability, efficiency, and performance of motor operated valves in industrial environments and may support other predictive maintenance programs as required.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Data Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources such as sensor readings, maintenance records, and equipment history to identify patterns and trends related to motor operated valve performance.
  • Fault Diagnosis: Investigate and diagnose root causes of issues or failures with motor operated valves. Work closely with maintenance teams to analyze data and identify corrective actions to prevent recurrence of problems.
  • Performance Optimization: Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize the performance of motor operated valves. Recommend improvements to operational procedures, maintenance schedules, or equipment configurations based on data-driven insights.
  • Maintenance Strategy Development: Develop and refine predictive maintenance strategies for motor operated valves. Define maintenance intervals, inspection routines, and proactive maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document analysis findings, maintenance activities, and recommendations in clear and concise reports. Communicate insights and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including maintenance personnel, engineers, and management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry best practices, technological advancements, and emerging trends in predictive maintenance. Continuously improve analytical techniques, tools, and methodologies to enhance the effectiveness of predictive maintenance programs.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with plant staff to efficiently schedule and manage routine or outage related task.

Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. A technical degree is preferred. Two years of experience in an industrial plant environment operating/maintaining rotating equipment or related field experience required. Possession of Motor Operated Valve (MOV) certification or equivalent technical training is desirable.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:

  • Working knowledge of analytics.
  • Working knowledge of condition monitoring and diagnostic technologies.
  • Working knowledge of troubleshooting power plant operations issues.
  • Strong working knowledge of rotating components such as pumps, motors, steam turbines, and generators and field instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with condition-based maintenance programs and technology applications.
  • Familiarity with gas combined cycle, coal fired power plants, and associated systems and operation.
  • Effective English communication and technical report writing skills.
  • Must be proficient with various software programs and systems (e.g., MS Outlook, Word,
  • Excel, PowerPoint) as well as database use.
  • Must be able to concentrate and understand complicated issues and/or instructions
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision, perform in a team environment, as well as effectively communicate with others.
  • Must possess good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Licenses, Certifications, Bonding and/or Testing Required: Successful candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Working Conditions: Work will be split between a normal office environment and an industrial plant setting. Position will require occasional travel to other locations within the company. Requires some work beyond normal working hours as workload, project deadlines, and service restoration efforts warrant. Must have satisfactory work record including good attendance.
