Orizon Aerostructures Maintenance Tech I - Night Shift in Chanute, Kansas

Responsibilities:Level 1:• Perform basic maintenance on equipment, both electrical and mechanical• Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines in accordance with schedule• Assure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures with applicable federal,state, and local codes, regulations, and requirements• Reviews daily maintenance schedule to ensure all jobs are complete in a timely manner, withminimal interference with production• Provide assistance and support for emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipmentduring production and performs scheduled maintenance of production equipment duringmachine service• Maintain good housekeeping in all areas• Handle company equipment with care• Responds quickly to inquiries and follows up as needed• Is available to work overtime when required, including weekends• Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Production SupportManager

Qualifications:Level 1:• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred• Mechanical aptitude required• Able to read, interpret, and apply information from part manuals, electrical and mechanicalschematics, assembly instructions, technical documents, and troubleshooting guides required• Adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands, and can deal with frequentchange, delays or unexpected events required• Able to work independently and within a team environment required• Able to troubleshoot and problem solve required• Able to pay attention to details required• High School Diploma, GED, or able to demonstrate basic written, reading, verbal, and math skillsrequired

Skills:Level 1A fully qualified Maintenance Technician 1 will have the following skills:

• Basic computer skills (e.g., Factory Trak, MS Office)• Blueprint reading - dimensioning and tolerancing• Electrical and mechanical schematics reading• Forklift certification• Powered Industrial Vehicles certification • General and machine specific safety• Lock Out/Tag Out• Ultra C-Lean• Work Order Process • BAC5114• AS9100•Fire extinguisher certification• Basic plumbing• Basic electrical• Basic HVAC

Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee tosuccessfully perform the functions of this job:• Must have ability to bend, twist and stretch arms above head and walk or stand for long periodsof time.• Must be able to lift and move heavy objects up to 40 pounds safely.• Must have the ability to become proficient and certified, as required, with equipment used tomaneuver and store large and/or heavy objects.• Must have the ability to move parts in and out of accelerated cure ovens that operate up to 180degrees Fahrenheit, site dependent• Must be able to reach in all directions, handle and manipulate objects and materials• Must be able to coordinate the movement of eyes, hands, and fingers to operate machines andequipment• Verbal communication with plant personnel and management• Must have standard visual acuity (correctable by prescription glasses or contacts meets therequirement), including color recognition• Must be able to hear with or without correction• Effective use of telephone and other applicable electronic communication equipment
