Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes, and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments by performing the necessary duties. The Maintenance Technician must be self-motivated and experienced in the duties listed below.
Job Duties:
- Maintains the plant equipment: motor controls, chain drives, convey speeds, chain drives, cleaning & lubricating shafts/bearings/gears/other parts
- Welding capabilities: Operates cutting torch or welding equipment
- Troubleshooting: detecting malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations, networking with supervisors and other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus: 120-480 volts
- Lay out, assembles, installs, and maintains dust collector system and related pneumatic equipment
- Repairs and maintains the physical structure of building
- Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill and milling
- Build racks, table, fixtures and fabrication of pieces necessary to support production
- Following safety procedures and protocols.
