ManTech Lead SME Cloud Architect in Coffeyville, Kansas

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead SME Cloud Architect (Computer Systems Engineer/Architect) to join our team. This is a Remote position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead Multi-Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, and Salesforce) and DevSecOps platform architecting, engineering, and 24 x 7 operations, and teams supporting these services, for a large DHS component agency.

  • Lead engineering and operations services to implement/support the interconnectivity between the cloud service providers and the applications functioning in these environments, as well as the integration of Artificial Intelligence solutions, and use of Site Reliability Engineering.

  • Lead the application of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) automation tools to provision and manage change in the multi-cloud environment, to include Python Lambda functions, Cloud Formation, Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), ArgoCD, Terraform, Helm Charts, and Vault Secrets Management.

  • Support Multi-Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps) to track, report, and optimize cloud cost spend and usage.

  • Support mission critical systems that are being hosted in commercial clouds. •Support programmatic provisioning capabilities offered by commercial cloud service providers and utilize a CI/CD pipeline.

  • Support the interconnectivity between cloud service providers and applications living in these environments.

  • Develop and maintain the DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines.

  • Support system teams in setting up their accounts and train on pipeline functionality.

  • Support cloud service catalog offerings, Cloud Formation Templates, Cloud Automation (e.g., Chef, Ansible), standardized virtual machine images.

  • Support cloud functions for Containerization, Changed Data Capture, and API Management (e.g. EKS, Rancher, Docker, ArgoCD, Grafana, ECR, and Kafka).

  • Develop the network connectivity and foundational infrastructure services to prepare for building or moving a system to the cloud.

  • Perform data collection and analysis of cloud configurations to determine the most optimal configurations for each system.

  • Develop a Single DevSecOps strategy and a single Cloud Management Console across all clouds and on-prem to improve efficiency.

  • Perform data collection and analysis of cloud costs to validate the monthly billing and to determine if a system is utilizing the best methods and options for minimizing the system’s cost.

  • Build, maintain, or move applications within any of the Commercial Clouds to include AWS, Azure, and Google.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of concurrent experience with architecting IT solutions using DevOps methodologies in multi-cloud environments, inclusive of Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform and Azure cloud environments.

  • Certification as an Amazon Solutions Architect Professional.

  • Experience as an enterprise solution architect.

  • Expertise in remote and office-based user integration, as well as hybrid cloud architecture, to include cross-cloud connectivity.

  • Experience in evaluation and analysis of workloads that are running in public and private cloud environments.

  • Extensive experience with cloud security and cloud network engineering

  • Significant experience with managing using DevOps concept.

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills required.

  • Proficient in supporting tools such as or similar to: Chef Build automation tool comprised of Chef Server, Chef Automate, Chef Habitat, Chef Client, Chef Knife, Cookbooks stored in Git. Ansible Tower – Build automation tool for several of our major and non-major applications. Jenkins – Orchestration tool, or equivalent (e.g., Harness CI/CD/STO), used to execute the jobs to initiate a server or environment build for our major and non-major systems. Git – Source code repository and documentation repository for all our cloud-based systems.

  • Significant experience in using the Agile Methodology of managing IT Project Teams.

  • Must have strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills and possess superior technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field

  • Cloud Certifications with Azure, AWS, Google, and FinOps Certified Engineer

  • Experience: ServiceNow, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, CloudCheckr, and AWS native cost optimization tools.

  • Experience with ITIL, DevSecOps and Agile Scrum work planning and delivery frameworks.

  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence.

  • Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

  • Experience supporting Government contracts

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • A current Public Trust clearance is preferred

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
