Hargrove Engineers is looking for a Maintenance Planner to work alongside our client in Coffeyville, Kansas. Come put your previous chemical or refinery experience to good use.

What You'll Be Doing

Job Scope: The I&E Maintenance Planner is responsible for successful performance against the Maintenance Work Process, specifically around job execution and coordination of scheduled and emergency work. Core responsibilities will include planning and execution of all maintenance work, ensuring the Outage and Turnaround Work Processes are followed, material ordering, and managing equipment rental along with other activities. This position works directly with the maintenance provider to ensure the work is carried out safely in an effective and productive manner. Good communication and organization skills, in addition to solid field experience, are crucial for this role. Previous electrical or instrument planning preferred.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Plans all maintenance work in compliance with planning standards

  • Ensures scope of work is clearly defined and understood on every job, SAP job packages include resources needed to complete the job, and feedback from Crafts and Operations is used to optimize plans.

  • During outage preparation, leads Front End Loading (FEL) reviews to ensure outages and plans are ready and supported by leadership.

  • Oversees maintenance work execution in compliance with the organizational Maintenance Work Process, EH&S standards, and plant production goals

  • Leads safety discussions, maintains visible onsite presence to assist during work execution during both normal hours and on overtime, and ensures work is executed per the relevant safety standards.

  • Ensures maintenance work progresses per the schedule

  • Reviews jobs with resources (in-house and shared, leveraged or outside service providers) to address any issues impacting productivity and schedule attainment; progresses job sequences daily in the Scheduling tool; defines and takes steps to prevent delays.

Ideal Background

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associates degree in Maintenance related field or advanced coursework is highly preferred.

Certification: No certification is required for this position.

Experience: This position requires 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating.

  • Ability to change priorities quickly in order to meet deadlines

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal capability.

  • Flexibility to work overtime and make call-outs per plant needs.

  • SAP knowledge preferred

  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license

  • Local candidates preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
