What You'll Be Doing

Responsibilities:

Perform Management of change (MOC) audits.

  • Oversee and manage the site's Management of Change (MOC) process.

  • Ensure the MOC process is compliant with OSHA regulations, company required standards and site procedures.

  • Coordinate and provide training for site personnel on MOC and other PSM-related topics.

  • Work closely with site personnel to ensure proper implementation of the MOC process and ongoing maintenance of process safety information (PSI).

  • Provide support for MOC issues and questions.

  • Perform QA/QC reviews of completed MOCs and ensure resolution of any identified issues.

  • Develop and publish MOC metric reports that assess the quality of the MOCs and work process.

  • Work to understand deficiencies, make improvements, and drive continuous improvement in the MOC process.

  • Maintain performance data in the electronic data management system and applicable dashboards.

  • Organize and conduct quarterly Tier IV process safety MOC audits. Track, communicate, and train site on Tier IV findings.

  • Participate on corrective action teams and support initiatives that improve the site PSM program.

  • Confirm process safety events are identified, properly classified, and tracked.

  • Coordinate and participate in corporate, third-party, and site audits.

  • Participate in PSSR (Pre-start up Safety Reviews) walkdowns to ensure that changes are implemented as designed

  • Develop and publish action item and compliance verification metrics and reports.

  • Support PSI evergreen and revalidation efforts.

  • Support various PSM-related projects and initiatives. Provide PSM-related support to the site.

  • Steward, improve, audit and train others on Process Safety Management

  • Provide oversight and interpretation of the MOC process

  • Provide administrative support for KMS MOC software

  • Support operations teams with MOC related questions and requests

  • Create MOC reports

  • Provide MOC training for stakeholders

  • Perform other PSM related tasks at the direction of the PSM Team Lead Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree Required , and 2 years work experience in the refining and/or chemical industry

  • Computer proficient, including intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

  • Willingness to work in a refinery setting, including performing field walk-downs; Effective verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively interact and work in a team environment

  • Effective facilitation skills, should be able to facilitate group discussions

  • Basic knowledge of OSHA PSM and RMP regulations. Able to review and understand PSM and engineering documents (including P&IDs, PFDs, and other PSI)

  • Strong Safety focus. Skills that will help you stand out:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM related field

  • Previous experience with MOC auditing and KMS software,

  • 5 years work experience in the refining and/or chemical industry

  • Advanced MS Excel skills

  • Basic knowledge of refinery operations and process safety hazards associated with refinery operations
