Pay Range: \$28.62

Shift Differential: Additional \$2.00/hour

Hours: Monday - Friday 4pm - 2am

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician at the Sunflower Quarry. This position is responsible for inspecting, repairing and installing equipment for our surface mining operations.

Essential Functions

• Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta\'s Guardian Angel culture
• Disassemble machines and remove parts for repairs using hand tools, chain falls, jacks or hoists
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Collaborate with team members to repair move machine parts for equipment or transport materials between work areas
• Lubricate machines, machine parts or other equipment according to standards
• Tend to equipment such as conveyors to move materials through production processes
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Perform welding and fabrication activities as needed
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of needed repairs

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred
• Previous maintenance experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance

Physical Abilities

• Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
• Ability to work in elevated areas
• General physical activities including climbing stairs, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping and handling materials
