Cargill Maintenance Superintendent - Fabrication in Dodge City, Kansas

Job Purpose and Impact

The Maintenance Superintendent - Fabrication will supervise and execute the deployment of overall leading maintenance practices aligned to production needs. In this role, you will lead a team that executes routine complex activities to maintain and improve capacity utilization and quality standards realized through reliable operations. You will be in charge of keeping high safety standards and keeping the employees safe.

Key Accountabilities

  • Supervise the execution of specific equipment maintenance strategy for each asset involved with containing, controlling or safeguarding a high hazard process.

  • Implement and monitor methodologies to improve operational effectiveness in compliance with regulatory codes and standards.

  • Utilize resources within the plant to minimize downtime and improve efficiency within equipment on fabrication floor.

  • Oversee the operational and supply budget of the department to stay within R&M budget.

  • Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

  • Management experience in mechanical departments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of supervisory experience

  • Experience with SAP

  • Experience overseeing third party resources to deliver business results

  • Knowledge of related tools and processes controls for a fabrication plant
