Skilled Machine Operators are an important role in the daily operations of our facilities. There are a variety of roles and responsibilities within this title. The types of roles available are including but not limited to, performing various rendering and tissue processes, operating heavy equipment, charting and reporting progress and yields, and in many cases the use of tracking via computer, all while making safety and food safety the number one priorities. While performing the duties of a Skilled Machine Operator, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces at varied heights; moving mechanical parts; fast paced warm/cool environment. Positions require standing or walking the entire shift, the use of stairs, and the use of PPE which is required in all areas of the facility.This position does not offer relocation assistance to the job location. Perform repetitive tasks. Examples include:
Maintaining Processes such as rendering and tissue processes
Tracking, reading, or creating reports manually or via computer
Ensuring food safety and quality
Cleanliness and housekeeping
Maintaining a safe working environment
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Must be able to perform basic math, such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Meat processing experience
Prior experience in a production, or similar, environment
Work history in the past 12 months
