Repairs (70%) Coordinate with contractors on equipment repairs. Perform any electrical/plumbing/carpentry work as required. Actively participate on teams to design, build and install in projects to improve safety, housekeeping, quality and productivity. Installs, maintains and repairs various Distribution Center equipment and related devices. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment (exhaust fans, pick carts, dock doors, manual pallet jacks, ladders, safety harnesses, pallet racking, case pick racking, conveyors, etc.) as assigned. Troubleshoot equipment and conveyors to diagnose issues and eliminate downtime Work closely with production leads, supervisors, maintenance mechanics, and production operators to diagnose and resolve issues. Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs. Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Work cooperatively in a team environment. Observe and monitor all safety rules. Stop/correct all unsafe conditions and report them to supervisor.
