Kforce Network Engineer in Edgerton, Kansas

Kforce is looking for a Help Desk Analyst for a contract to hire opportunity with a growing organization in Edgerton, KS. The Network Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of all the client's warehouse locations. As a result, it's important to be proactive, set up benchmarks for network performance and provide continuous improvement leveraging tools such as Wireshark, Netspot etc. Responsibilities: * Collaborates with warehouse teams on design, installations, and optimizations * Strong experience with access points, cloud controllers, network testing tools * Very good knowledge of TCP/IP, subnets, wireless security, dynamic channel allocation, SSID planning etc. * Maximizes network performance through proactive monitoring; troubleshooting network problems and outages; plan, document, and schedule upgrades and changes to network * Performs day-to-day networking tasks to ensure network reliability, availability, and serviceability within minimal interruption * Resolves escalated network support issues * Understands network security protocols and make security-focused improvements efficiently and effectively * Configures firewall security settings to access permissions groups for individuals and sets up provisions for incoming data * Leads network technology upgrade or expansion projects, including installation of hardware, software and integration testing, as well as coordinating these activities without disturbing function of other systems * Leads the development and production of complex documentation for installation, network topology, and troubleshooting of communications hardware or software * Produces network status reports * Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur * Manages vendor relationship with network infrastructure related vendors (ISP, Network Equipment Vendors, contractors etc.) * Bachelor's degree or 3 years of networking experience * Current Network Certifications preferred * Familiarity with Cisco Meraki product preferred * Demonstrated knowledge of networking and telecommunications * Excellent verbal and written communication * Ability to work within a team, as well as independently * Willingness to work a flexible schedule * Willingness to travel onsite to warehouse locations Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
