Position Title:

Adjunct Instructor - Business - El Dorado Correctional Facility

Job Duties:

Job responsibilities include preparing and teaching face-to-face business classes at the El Dorado Correctional Facility. Multiple classes are available.\ \ An Entrepreneurship class is available on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.\ \ A Marketing class is also available on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.\ \ The instructor would collaborate with the Department Chair as needed to ensure continued success. This is a part-time faculty position and continued adjunct teaching is a possibility beyond the Fall term. Butler uses online elements for their face-to-face classes as well, such as grade books and other elements of communication. Free training is offered and required.\ \ NOTE: These positions also require a mandatory 40-hour Correctional Facility-specific trainingto be completed. Sessions are Monday-Friday from 7:30 4:00 at the El Dorado Correctional Facility Training Center. Each day of the week has particular sessions assigned to each day. For example, if an instructor misses a Tuesday afternoon of training, they will need to make it up on a Tuesday afternoon of another orientation week.\ \ Training dates available are December 9-13 and December 30-January 3rd, with other dates possible\ \ Training participants will receive a stipend from Butler Community College for completing the training.
