Job Description:

Starting pay for this position is \$15.26 per hour.

Under the supervision of the Office Manager, the Clerk III performs entry-level clerical work. The employee in this position will be assigned duties of limited complexity. Duties follow department policies and procedures. The primary duty of this position is scanning legal documents on other duties include answers telephone, copies/emails documents to customer, does billing.

Job Duties:

100%-

Assists customers on basic/general information on the telephone or at the counter; take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.\ Enters data information on computer.\ Answers the telephone, takes messages and assists citizens with questions from a multi-line telephone.\ Assists with public inquiries.\ Processes speeding/traffic diversions and compliance.\ Routes information and police reports to appropriate parties.\ Prepares 1st appearance lists for Monday, Wednesday and Friday 1st appearances.\ Types, copies, files and distributes logs, memorandums and correspondences.\ Answers the telephone and responds to inquiries and/or directions.\ Schedules appointments.\ Performs other duties as deemed necessary or as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Clerk III-

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\ Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.\ Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.\ Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.\ Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of communication and convey and receive detailed or important information and instructions to and from the general public.\ Ability to operate a computer and other related office equipment.\ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\ Ability to receive, interpret and follow oral and/or written instructions.\ Ability to reliably and predictably carry out duties.\ Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of an organization.\ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.\ Knowledge of county geography and meaning of legal descriptions, legal documents.\ Knowledge of office procedures.\ Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.\ Skill in organizing, filing.
