The Clinical Supervisor provides case supervision and clinical oversight to the therapist and staff of the Grow Nurturing Families and ensures the successful implementation and evaluation of clinical services.




II. NATURE AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:


Responsible for recruitment and retention of therapist and support staff.


First contact for families inviting them to participate in PCIT.


Provides case oversight and clinical supervision for PCIT practitioners and support staff.


Supervises staff, creates individual work plans, and evaluates job performance.


Participates actively in PCIT training to achieve and sustain certification.


Monitors and ensures trainees are compliant with training procedures.


Provides oversight needed to ensure successful implementation of PCIT.


Monitors assessment procedures and ensures completion in a timely and reliable manner.


Ensures the data is being collected, tracked and reported monthly and accurately.


Ensures success and training in PCIT as well as fidelity to the model through effective clinical supervision.


Identifies potential barriers to effective service delivery and works to remove these barriers.


Participates actively in training, meetings, and consultations.


Monitors timelines and quality of reports and documentation weekly.


Serves as liaison across multiple levels (Agency leadership, PCIT clinicians, and community partners).


Maintains and monitors lines of communication among all relevant parties.


Maintains quality relationships with DCF, courts, PCIT staff and other community partners.


The employee is required to be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid license therefore. If using an agency vehicle and/or transporting clients, the employee must meet agency insurance underwriting standards.


Will be required to drive personal or agency vehicle while transporting children or conducting agency business. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must meet agency underwriting standards while driving agency vehicles and/or transporting clients.


Refrains from assuming any duty that is unrelated to and/or interferes with the responsibilities of the position.


Advocates, promotes and practices cultural sensitivity and responsiveness in all day-to-day interactions.


Develops, promotes and practices teamwork in all activities.


Other duties as assigned.




SUPERVISION:


Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Directly supervises employees as denoted on the Agency Organizational Chart in accordance with federal, state and/or COA requirements.

III. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:


At least three years’ experience in child and family services, preferably with some of this time dedicated to supervising others. Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field. Licensed by Kansas BSRB required. Clinical license preferred.




PRESENTATION SKILLS:


Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.


Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, care providers or regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively present information to management and public groups.




FINANCIAL/COMPUTATIVE SKILLS:


Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.


Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Familiarity with computers and their capabilities.




ANALYTICAL ABILITY:


Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
