We are looking for anAssistant Controller, who will play a crucial role in supporting the Controller with financial reporting, compliance and operational efficiency. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This full-time position is based out of Cashco, Inc. headquarters in Ellsworth, KS.

Office hours: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (Monday-Friday)

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing accurate and timely, monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
• Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
• Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliation.
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements.
• Support the development and monitoring of the annual budget.
• Assist in preparing financial forecasts and variance analysis.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
• Assist in conducting internal audits and addressing any findings.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance department.
• Implement best practices and streamline accounting procedures.

Education:

• Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.

Experience and Skills:

• A minimum of 2 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced computer skills.
• High attention to detail and capable of working both independently and as a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Must be extremely reliable and dependable.
