The Community Outreach Coordinator runs the overall communications of Radical Life, Inc. and the
community in order to efficiently build community awareness and share the message &
mission/vision/purpose of our program AND raise the needed funds to build cash reserves and
expand operations. This may include assisting with record keeping and data collection/storage,
reviewing grant requests and reports to be up-to-date, and helping with group sessions, as needed, to
build relationships with Leaders, hosting fundraising events, and other community events to build our
presence. However, the primary role of the Community Outreach Coordinator is to be responsible
for raising the necessary dollars within the community. This jobs primary purpose is to raise funding
and community awareness about Radical Life, Inc. Confidentiality is mandatory, and the Community
Outreach Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director and the Radical Life, Inc. Board.
Community Outreach Basic Logistics:
? Responsible for building the office calendar with speaking engagements at local churches,
civic groups, and businesses. With THE GOAL- of 6-8 speaking engagements and/or
face-to-face meetings scheduled for this role and/or the Executive Director to execute weekly!
? Responsible for communicating upcoming events, monitoring deadlines, and monitoring
scheduled meets and engagements, etc. on the office master calendar- consulting and adding
events to the Directors schedule as Director is available
? Gives financial transparency to the community and donors
? Reviews (monthly) Grant and Work Agreements & Contracts
? Reports to Grant Foundations, MER Data Manager and public/private donors WITH the
Executive Director
? Attends weekly meetings and help (as directed) with check-ins for designated families
? Attends weekly staff meetings and trainings/meetings established by the Radical Life board
? Visits with and recruits potential Cohort Leaders and Learning friends
? As able, acts as translator for Spanish speaking participants, funders, & translate needed
communications
Community Care & Events:
Responsible for creating strong visibility by regularly sharing Our Story with the community and
inviting them to participate.
? Responsible for helping recruit and schedule speaking engagement / presentations at local
churches, civic groups, Bible studies, and one-on-ones within the community(See Goal in
section one above)
? Conduct or assists in presentations
? Collects names/numbers/emails/contact info at presentations of possible volunteers, Leaders,
Learners
? Provides follow up calls one week after presentations with interested individuals
? From follow-up calls builds a list that is accessible to all office staff, identifying people
interested in various volunteer and/or funding roles
? Provide a positive voice in the community
? Build relationships with Leader/Learner families during Radical Life nights/events
? Be available to participants within defined boundaries established with the Executive Director.
? Leads fundraisers, event planning, and community engagement events
? Builds effective fundraising plan with Executive Director
? Goes face-to-face to ask for donations
? Learns how to maneuver Radical Life donor database and maintains donor care
? Tracks and reports on donor care and sponsorship awards
Social Media/PR
? Weekly posts on Social Media platforms and maintains their integrity (Monday & Saturday
Posts)
? Quarterly posts v ideos on Social Media platforms of an individuals story, or volunteers
meaningful moment
Other
? Step into whatever hole could be missing to make a Radical Life night run more smoothly
? Participate in training as they pertain to your role
? Fills out a self-evaluation form twice each year and reviews it with Executive Director
