Primary Functions
Perform general nursing care to patients, including initial intake. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and under the direction of the clinic physician or mid-level.
Greet patients and prepare them for physician/nurse practitioner examination. Screen patients for appropriate information by obtaining and updating health history, including physical, social, and psychosocial status.
Maintain timely flow of patients.
Complete, document, and inform patient of referrals, prior authorizations, and transmit needed documents to specialists and pharmacies.
Administer medications, vaccinations and treatments accurately, observing and documenting patient response.
Adheres to infection control, standard precautions, and the use of proper PPE per CareArc policy.
