Job Purpose and Impact
The Plant Operations Supervisor will provide strategic operational oversight for all production operations in a Pet Food processing facility with moderate presence or moderate degree of complexity. In this role, you will oversee and hold the operating facility accountable to standards for safety, quality, operational effectiveness and financial performance.
Execute routine operations of assigned area, ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee, food safety and environmental compliance.
Monitor production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications.
Partner with multiple internal and external stakeholders to meet customer specifications and timeline.
Putting in work orders and partnering with maintenance on projects.
Develop operational plans and monitors routine operations for all production processes for multiple departments and processes.
Develop, supervise and provide coaching to direct reports including coaching company core values and guiding principles for assigned facilities or region.
Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports.
Making sure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met, oversee shift metrics and ensuring monthly safety projects are done.
Constant floor presence and interaction with the front-line production team.
Partner with Food Safety Quality Regulatory (FSQR) to make sure that food safety guidelines are being followed according to applicable regulations.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum one year of directly related work experience
One year of supervisory experience
Lean six sigma
Extruder experience or familiarity
Willing to work overnights and weekends
HACCP experience or certification
Bilingual or ability to communicate in Spanish
This is a 1st shift position.
