U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Capability Development Analyst in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas

Summary About the Position: Serves as a Capability Development Analyst in the capabilities development process for the Synthetic Training Environment (STE), National Simulation Center, Fort Leavenworth, KS. Responsibilities Integrate training initiatives and requirements into current and future training aids, devices, simulators, and simulation (TADSS) systems. Develop and implement special projects designed to improve training tools used to support operational and institutional training. Provide assistance to units and institutions in the operation and use of training systems. Analyze training management doctrine, field input and emerging concepts for incorporation into training plans and information systems. Provide technical advice to the contracting office regarding provisions of statement of work. Serve as the user representative for TADSS which fall in the TRADOC Proponent Office for the Synthetic Training Environment (TPO-STE). Formulate policies and operational procedures, develop, and implement written criteria. Develop a variety of reports and briefings. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Analyzing training environments to verify that they meet doctrine, organization, training, material, leadership, education development, personnel, facilities, and policy (DOTMLPF-P) requirements; 2) identify DOTMLPF-P capability gaps using Joint Capability Integration Development System (JCIDS) processes to develop gap solutions; and 3) knowledge of simulations and the use of simulations in training environments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Planning and Evaluating Problem Solving Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). *All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
