Program Summary

KBR provides full-spectrum base operations support to Naval Support Facility Diego Garcia, a remote location in the British Indian Ocean Territory. Our robust supply chain ensures on-time delivery of mission-critical supplies, and our team conducts essential port and airfield operations in this geographically complex environment. The KBR team is over 1,000 people strong, providing not only life support services such as water treatment, electricity, and telecom/antenna maintenance, but also quality of life services like Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) and an award-winning dining facility.

Job Summary

Manage and direct the daily execution of multiple Indefinite Delivery and Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Projects within contract requirements to assure that cost, schedules, and performance goals are met. Managing the construction delivery team to ensure all activities are provided in compliance with the project deliverables. Drive a culture of zero accidents and zero defects to meet Delivery Milestones to provide the best service to the customer through a continuous review of all aspects of the project status.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversees all onsite and offsite construction activities to monitor compliance with the SOWs, approved drawings, Task Order budgets, applicable codes, and safety regulations.

  • Manages construction project efforts, including schedules, contract deliverables, funding, and day-to-day project oversight.

  • Supervise the construction, alteration, and installation of civil/structural, electrical, mechanical, and architectural systems and other work requirements to ensure that they are carried out within the contract.

  • Serve as the primary interface with the customer on all matters involving contract execution.

  • Assist in the execution of contract requirements in accordance with appropriate regulations and company policies and procedures.

  • Support the timely closeout of completed programs to ensure that all obligations are satisfied and program documentation is properly recorded.

  • Ensures compliance with department safety and quality standards to optimize effective utilization of resources and productivity.

  • Performs other work-related duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have knowledge of construction management processes, means, methods, building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.

  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process.

  • Strong leadership, project management, team building, and presentation skills.

  • Handle multiple demanding and complex projects promptly with accurate results.

  • Ability to read and understand architectural, civil, electrical, or mechanical drawings.

  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and control all aspects of project activities.

  • Ability to work with the customer to find mutually satisfactory solutions to difficult issues.

  • Ability to work with management systems and a variety of skilled/unskilled, professional, administrative, and industry personnel.

  • General working knowledge of major facilities systems, Electronic Construction Management System (eCMS), RS Means, MAXIMO, and Government contracting procedures.

  • Must be contract-oriented.

  • Must possess administrative, organizational, and computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).

  • Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.

  • Must speak, read, and understand the English language.

  • Must be contract oriented and computer literate in Microsoft Office software.

  • Must have a valid country of origin’s driver’s license.

EDUCATION:

  • Must have at least a high school diploma is required; an associate or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical), or equivalent is highly preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have ten (10) years minimum total experience in construction management with at least five (5) years as Supervisor or Superintendent of various types of alterations, construction or repair projects.
