Responsibilities Performs a variety of tasks involving several steps or sequences of tasks that require attention to work operations in a kitchen, dining area, and/or banquet room. Performs simple food preparation duties following established procedures and menu. Processes and organizes food, arranges garnishes, checks for appearance, quality and quantity and ensures proper presentation in accordance with set standards and customers? requests. Operates a cash register and credit card machine while maintaining a balanced drawer. Cleans kitchen utensils, pots, pans, storage containers, as well as sweeping and mopping the floor. Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area, buffet and banquet facilities to include but not limited to wiping tables, chairs, emptying the trash, and vacuuming. Restocks storeroom, walk in refrigerator/freezer, front line refrigerators, freezers, coolers, and dry goods. May operate a beverage cart on the golf course, working independently, to include loading and unloading the beverage cart in accordance with set standards. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Resumes will be reviewed to ensure the following qualifications have been met: 1. Meet the state requirement of being the age of 18 at the time of appointment in order to have the ability to serve alcoholic beverages. 2. Possess math skills (e.g, add, subtract, divide, fractions, and decimals) necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory. 3. Have skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic beverages. 4. Ability to perform tasks involving several procedures and to concentrate on work assignments despite interruptions and distractions. 5. Ability to observe established safety procedures when using knives and other equipment. 6. Basic knowledge of food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures. 7. Possess the ability to understand and follow oral and/or written instructions in English.
