Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Military Trainer - Fires Work Cell Instructor/Controller (WIC) in support of the Army's Operations Group B, Mission Command Training Program (MCTP). The location of this position is at Fort Leavenworth, KS . The Principal Military Trainer - Fires WIC will support the Fires Warfighting Function (WfF) and supports Fires, and as required other WfFs, as a cell lead for a team of contractors supporting MCTP. Trains military personnel on the Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM) and Fires WfF specific simulation processes and procedures. Enforces realism of exercise through role playing and conflict adjudication and resolution. Supervise the work cell mission of translating training audience rehearsals, operations and plans in to simulation inputs/tasking's and scripting requirements. Train and support work cell augmentees in reporting, role playing elements subordinate to the training audience. Ensure that the work cells WfF units/assets are simulated IAW current doctrine and unit SOP. Supports the After Action Review (AAR) process by communicating significant events using the Workstation Reporting System (WRS). Maintains awareness and understanding of current and emerging Army and Joint Fires doctrine for Army Brigades, Divisions, and Corps. Works with the MCTP Observer/Coach/Trainers (O/C/T) toward a common understanding of Fires force organization and structure. When required, assists in exercise design and scenario development. When required, assists in pre-exercise planning by conducting Site Surveys and participating in planning conferences. When required, assists as a Fires WfF SME for the development of the simulation Rules and Workarounds book. When required, assists with certification training in the Fires WfF.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience or Master's Degree with 4 years' experience

  • Minimum Military Education Level (MEL) 4 CGSC or Equivalent (i.e. SGMs' Academy)

  • Graduate of a related Advance Course

  • Proficient in current Army Fires doctrine and synchronization processes

  • Proficient with MS Office suite of software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access)Familiar with current Army and Joint Doctrine

  • Must currently possess an active DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Graduate of the Field Artillery Advanced Course

  • Served as a Fires Battalion/Brigade Operations Officer, Executive Officer or Fire Support Officer

  • Graduate degree

  • Brigade or higher staff officer experience
