Link Solutions is seeking a PC Systems Specialist to join our Fort Leavenworth, KC team.

  • Must be a US Citizen 

  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

The PC Systems Specialist will support the US Army Corrections Command (ACC) Army Corrections Brigade (ACB) G6 at Fort Leavenworth, KS. The Specialist will provide various computer hardware and software services to end users ensuring the seamless operation of our government IT systems and report directly to senior leadership regarding ongoing projects and tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees support tickets for Training Management Directorate (TMD) users.

  • Direct and lead multiple projects including the planning, designing, and implementation.

  • Coordinate support with the local Network Enterprise Center.

  • Respond to user inquiries and requests and provide technical assistance on PC systems, related hardware and software, and standard applications

  • Provides help desk information and support; determines the cause of the problem; offers temporary solutions if the problem cannot be resolved within an appropriate timeframe.

  • Installs, set up or relocates, configures, troubleshoots, and supports PC/server hardware and software; installs and configures software upgrades; configures and performs tuning of operating systems to enhance PC performance; installs and configures network interfaces and Internet connections; diagnoses network cable and configuration problems.  

  • Installs and maintains specialized software, including performing setup functions, developing associated file structures, report formats, and input forms, ensuring file security, performing data entry to populate associated databases, and documenting procedures.

  • Implement and design an organization-wide set of standards for the implementation of future and existing information systems.

  • Provide on-call support outside of core work hours for unscheduled events or scheduled service interruptions.

  • US Citizen

  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 Secret Security Clearance.

  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or five (5+) years in a desktop support role with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts.

  • IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE equivalent or higher).

  • Experience with SharePoint-related site administration, optimization, and development experience.

  • Have and maintain CE certificate in MS Server 2016, Server 2019, Windows 10, or Microsoft Modern Desktop

Preferred:

  • Active Tier 3 Secret Security Clearance.

  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.

  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. 

This opportunity is contingent upon successful award and contract negotiation which is currently in process.
