Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as a Senior Principal Military Trainer. The location of this position is at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The Senior Principal Military Trainer and Assistant Senior Control for OG-B will serves as the OG-B Assistant Senior Controller and Warfighting function (WFF) Maneuver subject matter expert. Leads and assists multifunctional area cell leads for a team of contractors supporting the Army’s Mission Command Training Program (MCTP). Trains military personnel on the Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM) and WFF specific simulation processes and procedures. Enforces realism of exercise through role playing and conflict adjudication and resolution. Supervise the work cell mission of translating training audience operations and plans in to simulation inputs/tasking and scripting requirements. Train and support work cell augmentees in reporting, role playing elements subordinate to the training audience. Ensure that the work cells WFF units/assets are simulated IAW current doctrine and unit SOP. Supports the After Action Review (AAR) process by communicating significant events using the Workstation Reporting System (WRS). Is certified and doctrinally current in more than one WFF and is capable of working as a cell lead in several WFF cell types to include Senior Control. Assists in exercise design and scenario development. Assists Senior Controller in pr e-exercise planning by conducting Site Surveys and participating in planning conferences. Assists in Developing exercise plans, coordinating internal and external resources, monitoring planning progress and timelines, and preparing contract deliverables items. Assists as required in the development and writing of HICOM orders for Corps and Division exercises. Develops the simulation training POI for his/her WFF. Assists the Senior Controller and is a WFF SME for the development of the simulation Rules and Workarounds book. Serves as the assistant certifier for certification training for all WFF. Assists as needed in maintaining the WARSIM WFF database. As required, is the Assistant POC for various administrative additional duty positions. Maintains proficiency in the various simulations and models supporting Army training exercises. Maintains awareness and understanding of current and emerging Army and Joint doctrine for Army Brigades, Divisions, and Corps.
Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of military experience or Master’s Degree with 8 years’ experience
US Army Command and General Staff Officer Course, or MEL 4 equivalent Intermediate Level Education (ILE)
US military service as a Field grade officer (SGM, Major, Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel)
Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM) Certified with at least 3 years’ experience
Familiar with Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC)
Familiar with current Army and Joint doctrine
Proficient with MS Office suite of software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access) - Must currently possess an active DoD Secret Clearance
5 years’ of WARSIM experience and Senior Control Certified
Brigade or higher staff officer experience
Subject Matter Expert using the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability ( JLCCTC)
Former Division or Corps Planner
Former Observer Coach/Trainer Experience at any Combat Training Center
Graduate degree with 8 years’ experience
Experience in design and planning Army exercises
Familiar with current OPFOR Hybrid Threat Doctrine
Salary Range: $81,396.00 - $122,094.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
