Summary About the Position: As an Administrative Support Assistant (OA) with U.S. ARMY FUTURES & CONCEPTS CENTER MISSION COMMAND CDID CONCEPTS DIVISION DUTY STATION: FORT LEAVENWORTH, KS you will be performing a wide variety of administrative management duties. This position is covered by a Laboratory Personnel Demonstration Project. This position covered by this vacancy announcement is a part of STRL Demo Pay Band II. Responsibilities Serves as the alternate Army Charge Card Program Coordinator for the directorate. Processes all applications and maintains required reports and documents. Requests input from directorate personnel, organizes material and completes appropriate format for review by supervisor. Serves as the division's liaison on all civilian personnel matters. Maintains suspense database on military and civilian performance appraisals and awards keeping supervisors apprised of status and delinquent actions. Compares computer generated information that shows a possible error with actual input data, identifying error source and determines corrective action. Prepares time and attendance cards for civilians assigned to the division CDID headquarters section. Performs a myriad of administrative duties to facilitate the mission and work of the directorate. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes; (1) providing clerical and/or administrative support in an office setting, (2) preparing and/or generating reports for higher-level review, (3) reviewing and/or tracking data in order to prepare correspondence or generate reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DK 01/GS-04). Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (DK 01/GS-04). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. This appointment is covered by a Laboratory Personnel Demonstration Project.
