Elementary School Vice Principal Purpose: The ideal candidate provides leadership, management, and supervisory skills that promote learning for each student. They lead others and stand for the ideas and values that help develop lifelong learners and future leaders within their District. The principal works closely with the head principal, students, parents/guardians, building, and district staff to accomplish these tasks.
Responsibilities:
Workclosely with the staff and administration ofUSD 234.
Bea positive representative of the school district throughout the community.
Promote the success of every student by advocating, nurturing and sustaining a school culture and instructional programdedicatedto student learning and staff professional growth.
Promote the success of every student by ensuring management of the organization, operation, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment.
Comply with all district policies, rules and regulations.
Communicate openly and effectively with students, community, staff and administration.
Encourage the professional growth of teachersthroughevaluations, and assistance they may need.
Administer district policies in the operation of the school.
Maintain school records and file necessary reports.
Plan and organize the school day and year to provide for efficient operation of the school.
Work cooperatively with peers in sharing ideas, techniques and procedures for improvement of the learning environment.
Performanyduties as may from time to time berequestedby the Superintendent and/or Board of Education.
