Job Title Building and Grounds Coordinator

SUMMARY

Ensure the well-being of the corporate facilities, maintain the grounds, present a

professional image for the building and grounds, coordinate remodeling or construction

projects, maintain a comfortable environment for the employees, and perform these

functions in the most cost effective manner.

Essential Responsibilities

Maintain the well-being of the assigned facilities. Maintain the security of the buildings

by ensuring that the entrance points are in good working order.

Maintain the safety of our employees by ensuring the lighting, heating, ventilating, and

air conditioning (HVAC), and other devices and systems are in good working order and

comply with state and local codes. Maintain safe paths by keeping all walkways free of

debris or other objects and by correcting or reporting anything else that would endanger

employees.

Regularly inspect and perform maintenance on the building and grounds to ensure their

soundness, longevity, safety, and professional appearance.

Maintain the setup and arrangement of tables and chairs in meeting rooms for company

meetings as scheduled.

Maintain a comfortable environment for employees. Ensure that the heating and air

conditioning is in good working order to provide a comfortable temperature.

Ensure that the lighting is in good working order and is of appropriate brightness for the

space and type of work to be done.

Ensure that the working environment is clean, well maintained, and esthetically

pleasing.

Ensure that the building is free of dust, debris, and trash.

Ensure that the restrooms and break areas are cleaned as scheduled.

Ensure company-use vehicles are maintained, serviced and cleaned.

Maintain Grounds

Maintain the health and appearance of the landscaping. Ensure that mowing and snow

removal are completed in a timely and effective manner. Inspect and maintain the

parking lots and connecting walkways as needed.

Remodeling

Deliver, place, move, and assemble furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Complete office

remodeling projects effectively and in a timely manner.

Contractor Coordination

Obtain, through a bidding process, and effectively use outside contractors when

appropriate.

Safety

Perform other tasks as assigned or required to support Sunflowers mission and

operations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Five years building maintenance and repair experience, or equivalent combination of

education and experience.

Two year post high school technical certification in plumbing, electrical or HVAC

preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Solid knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical wiring, construction,associated repair

techniques, andgroundskeeping.

Skilled in troubleshooting plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical issues, and general

construction issues.
