Job Brief
HIRING: Metering Technician Apprentice who is safety conscious, self-motivated and has good electrical and computer skills. Enhance your knowledge of the utility industry while advancing through Sunflower's four-year apprenticeship program.
This job allows you to gain experience in the utility industry while working for a family-friendly company with great benefits. Enhance your troubleshooting skills and learn to operate our metering test equipment while advancing through Sunflower's four-year apprenticeship program.

Summary:
Assist with diagnosing, repairing, and installing revenue metering and related equipment.
Top Qualifications:
Certificate Program in electrical technology or a related field and one year of commercial or industrial electrical experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Successful completion of the Construction and Skilled Trades Selection System (CAST) Test.
Must be able to successfully complete an advanced meter training school from an industry recognized meter school and advance through the levels of training every six months within the specified time period.

We administer selection tests for a variety of positions. The required tests have been developed by the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), a trade association of investor-owned electric utility companies. We strongly encourage candidates to review all the information, including the sample test brochures, and to use the available practice tests before taking the actual tests, available here:
