AGCO, a global leader in designing, manufacturing, and distributing agricultural solutions, has an exciting career opportunity for a Labor Relations Manager to join our team in Hesston, KS. The Labor Relations Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate the labor relations activities for the AGCO Hesston facility. This will include analyzing, interpreting, and negotiating the collective bargaining agreement and advising management and union officials in developing, applying, and interpreting labor relations policies and practices.

Your Impact

  • Represent the company in labor relations activities ensuring compliance, reconciling opposing claims/disputes, resolving grievances, and adopting/implementing robust procedures.

  • Uses surveys, interviews, and other studies to research human resource policies, compensation, and other employment issues. After analyzing the information, make recommendations on changes in part based on statistical analysis.

  • Researches and explains laws and legal affairs concerning employment to managers, supervisors, and employees.

  • Advises and trains managers and supervisors in best practices/strategies for managing labor relations issues and grievances. Develop further training as needed.

  • Provide oversight on overall staffing and recruiting process for hourly positions.

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Human Resources, Business, or a related field or 5+ years of labor relations experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.

  • PHR/SPHR/ Labor Relations certification is preferred.

  • Strong negotiating, planning, and project management skills, ability to apply these skills in effective working partnerships across organizational lines, and experience in coaching line managers.

  • Experience interpreting and participating in labor negotiations and managing a collective bargaining agreement.

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills, including group facilitation and presentation skills; excellent interpersonal skills, including leadership, influencing, and relationship-building across functions.
