AGCO, a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural solutions, has an exciting career opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer Controls Technician to join our team in Hesston, KS. The Manufacturing Engineer Controls Technician will report to the Senior Manufacturing Controls Engineer. The ME Controls Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the continuous operation of our automated paint system, working as part of a team to troubleshoot, monitor, and fix the system as needed. We are able to provide on the job training and are open to hiring entry level candidates who are seeking to start their career working with manufacturing control system and has the ability to work 1st shift (5:00am to 2:30pm) as well as some Saturdays.
What Will You Do?
Operate and monitor control systems within paint system in a safe and efficient manner
Troubleshoot and document control errors within the paint system as required
Address operations issues escalated to the control team and trouble shoot equipment issues
Communicate production impacting information to other teams and management efficiently
Assist in continuous improvement projects and eventually take the lead in some
Provision and configure sensors, encoders, drives, controllers, HMI’s, autonomous vehicles and control systems
Correct electronic communication faults in ethernet, wireless, ProfiNet and CAN networks.
What Will You Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of experience working with PLCs OR
Associates Degree with 1+ years of technical work experience
A Plus If You Have:
Prefer understanding of Siemens control systems, Allen Bradley experience is also acceptable
Advanced computer skills
Understanding of PLC logic & supporting hardware
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work a flex work shift to utilize system down time for program run off/correction
Ability to travel as required for training
Good communication skills
Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus
