The Journeyman Plumber performs skilled technical work in the installation, repair,
replacement, and maintenance of domestic water systems, heating water systems,
sanitary sewer systems, storm sewers, gas pipe, steam and condensate pipes and fire
protection systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintaining safe working conditions at all time
Regularly check systems to ensure proper operations
Inspect toilets, sinks, dishwashers, and other appliances for leaks
Responsible for repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures
Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste
disposal and water supply systems
Replace washers and rubber gaskets in faucets and showerheads
Locate and repair issues with water supply lines
Install and maintain water supply systems
Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure
Troubleshoot plumbing problems
