Essential Job Functions:
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management. Comply with all countywide and departmental policies and procedures. Answers telephone and directs calls to the appropriate person. Assists with in-person inquiries. Files information accurately according to established procedures. Scan reports into Fortis system. Logs appropriate information into the computer. May provide backup and/or relief support for similar job positions in the area. Performs related job duties as may be assigned or necessary.
High School diploma or G.E.D. Minimum 1-year similar office experience may be substituted for education. Must possess a valid Kansas driver’s license. Ability to understand the confidential nature of information processed. Ability to interact courteously with the general public. Ability to interface with co-workers and to function as a team member. Ability to understand and to follow both written and oral instruction. Ability to spell, proofread, use punctuation and grammar accurately. General computer knowledge and calculator skills desired. Ability to meet attendance standards.
Work is most generally performed in an office setting. Due to the proximity of the general public, work may include exposure to disease and/or illnesses. Noise level may at times be loud.
