The Apprentice Trimmer is a starting position within the company. This position will start as a groundsman and will help clear tree and brush debris, help the foreman setup bucket trucks and equipment, assist in getting equipment to the foreman and help with spotting duties in line clearance operations.
Operator apprentice candidates will have:
- ability to get a CDL within four months of hire
- pass a physical capacity profile and drug test
Operator apprentices are competent and capable of:
- following directions
- is able to identify site hazards to include clearances, ground conditions, structures, other workers and terrain
- able to perform minor maintenance on equipment
