SUMMARY:Duties include the construction and repair of bridges, box culverts and low-water crossings and other related issues such as drainage, drift and traffic control. Must be able operate all types of light equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties will be assigned.\ Cleans road or bridge surfaces and applies and rakes patching material.\ Must be able to help build, bolt, and nail, align, and setup forms for bridges and culverts.\ Loads and unloads equipment and material from trucks.\ Assists in concrete pouring and finishing.\ Mix bagged concrete.\ Assists in the repair, maintenance and erection of signs, guardrail, box culverts and bridges.\ Ability to use cutting torch and welder.\ Fastens attachments to equipment.\ Assists in painting bridges and guardrails.\ Greases, oils and performs minor repairs on equipment.\ Must have a current Class C drivers license and be able to drive a pickup truck at start of employment.\ Uses hand tools such as hammer, shovel, rake, chain saw or other tools used to maintain right-of-way and bridges.\ Must be available for call out.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
