Effective utilization of basic office technologyGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Will work in various 1:1 and group settings with children and youth who have been diagnosed with a Severe Emotional Disturbanceassisting in developing pro-social skills necessary to function and maintain on their own in the home, community and educationalsettings.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNTIONS:1. Quantity:? Minimum average of 8 hours/week of face-to-face contact with clients during afterschool session and a minimum of 20hours/week during summer session.? Role model/teach and reinforce the use of pro-social skills to patients to be able to function at home, school and the communitywithout the assistance of mental health and other community service agency supports.? Engage in various challenge of choice/recreational style activities with high levels of energy while maintaining/demonstratingprofessional behavior. Engage in group activities with a consistently high level of energy while maintaining the ability to stand, sitand walk for long periods of time and during the summer times in the extremes of weather and up to 8 hours per day, 5 days aweek.? Engage in and encourage others in Adventure Based Programming (rock climbing, repelling and other various challenge bychoice activities/initiatives) while accessing remote areas that require navigating uneven terrains, including inclines and declinesof various pitches.? Demonstrate proper understanding/utilization of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention system to maintain care, welfare, safety, andsecurity during all times of crisis. Includes the use of physical management skills of patients of all sizes, ages 5-21 and exceedingweights of 120-170 lbs, if not larger.2. Administrative:? Provide supervision, safety and structure to patients in all settings.? Actively participate in various staff and treatment team meetings as scheduled.? Complete all agency/program required trainings.? Operate agency vehicles in a safe manner to transport patients in the context of service delivery.3. Judgment:? Maintain confidentiality at all times.? Utilize sound judgment in crisis and/or ongoing assignments.? Maintain a positive, professional and supportive relationship with patients, staff and community partners.?
