Employment Type & Schedule: Full-Time; Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Communications & Special Projects Coordinator to join our
team. This position will play a key role in developing and executing communication strategies, managing
special projects, and providing administrative support for senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have a
passion for communications, a knack for coordinating diverse projects, and an ability to work collaboratively
with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Communications Strategy: Develop and execute internal and external communication strategies to
ensure clear, consistent, and effective messaging across all platforms.
Special Projects: Manage various special projects and initiatives as assigned, including a talent
attraction campaign and other key organizational goals.
Collaboration & Alignment: Work closely with departments and agencies to ensure cohesive
messaging, project alignment, and provide administrative support for senior leadership.
Digital Content Management: Maintain and update content on the companys website and social
media channels to ensure accurate, timely, and engaging communication.
Event & Meeting Coordination: Organize and coordinate events, meetings, and other engagements,
ensuring all logistics are handled efficiently.
Community Representation: Represent the local non-profit in Montgomery County at community
events, meetings, and forums, effectively communicating the organizations goals, initiatives, and
impact.
Liaison Role: Serve as the primary liaison between the local non-profit in Montgomery County, the
website developer, and the campaign team at the Golden Shovel Agency to ensure project milestones
and goals are met.
Technology Support: Provide technology support for communications-related activities and
troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.
Grant Support: Assist in reviewing grant drafts, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with
organizational goals.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
o Bachelors degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field (or
equivalent experience).
o At least 2-3 years of experience in communications, project management, or a similar role.
Skills & Competencies:
o Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and a creative approach.
o Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
o Experience with website content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, and event
coordination.
o Comfortability working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
o Basic technology troubleshooting skills and familiarity with common software tools (Microsoft
Office Suite, Google Workspace, etc.).
o Ability to represent the organization professionally at community events and engage effectively
with diverse audiences.
