SUMMARY:Repairs and maintains equipment and related work as required by performing the following duties along with general shop cleaning.
PRIMARY DUTIES: Washes and cleans equipment.Changes oil filters and oil.Changes tires using service lift truck.Checks and arranges supplies in the storeroom, notifies shop supervisor or clerk when supplies need to be reordered.Services, tests and installs batteries.Knowledge of testing and replacing alternators.Knowledge of hydraulic systemsMake and change hydraulic hosesKeeps work area clean and organized.Fills out service or work records as required by shop supervisor.Assists other mechanics with equipment repair as assigned by shop supervisor.Installs exhaust mufflers, spark plugs and accessories.Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and safety gear on equipment and makes adjustments as needed.Must be available for call outs
