Basic Function
Under supervision, performs a variety of manual labor in the construction and maintenance of streets, parks, airport, and other municipal buildings or grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Mows and trim lawns and brush
Picks-up and disposes of trash and brush
Drives vehicles and operates light equipment
Maintains city vehicles
Repairs streets, manholes, street signs, and water and sewer lines
Installs water meters and dig meter boxes
Services airport equipment and grounds
Assists with maintenance of Memorial Hall as needed
Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Ability to perform heavy manual labor
Some knowledge of maintenance of public grounds and facilities
Ability to operate trucks and light equipment
Knowledge of operation and maintenance of trucks, light equipment and lawn care tools
Ability to listen to, follow and communicate oral and written instructions
Ability to work well with a small team
