This is a PRN Position
Ambulatory care nursing refers to caring for patients in outpatient settings who do not require acute care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and older adults. The Registered Nurse coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directs and guides the OR Technician and other personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
Ambulatory care nurses treating high volumes of patients over brief periods of time. When treating patients, ambulatory care nurses can engage in a combination of independent duties,administering medication, and collaborative efforts with other nurses, like ordering tests or calling for specialists. These individuals must be efficient and mindful of the continuum of care of the patients they are treating. This is a great position for someone looking for variety and eager to learn new things.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Current and valid state RN License.
Current BLS (AHA or ARC) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Current ACLS (AHA or ARC) 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
Current PALS (AHA or ARC) certificate required 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
Previous acute care hospital experience; preferred.
Moderate Sedation competency completed within 30 days upon hire.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
