Job Description

Is responsible for the design, development, support, and maintenance of the applications DSI script environment operating on rugged mobility platform. Lead complex administration activities, solve complex problems, and provide insight on the installation, maintenance, configuration, and enhancements of the systems to others. Proactively identify, recommend, and implement improvements and consider the long-term requirements in planning. Maintain a secure and effective operations environment. Provide or direct help desk support using in-depth knowledge of personal software and hardware application packages. Coach, mentor, and provide technical guidance to team members. Function independently, demonstrate broad and deep technical experience, and exhibit leadership qualities. Additionally, this position is jointly accountable for the deployment, tracking, maintenance, and support of the physical devices within the overall operating environment, including all related devices (e.g., printers and docking stations).

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, implement, and support all RF DSI scripts for the JDE E1 9.2 environment

  • Support new project deployments within the JDE E1 9.2 environment with both hardware and applications script deployment

  • Construct and maintain support documentation and user training for the mobility environment

  • Ensure technology systems are reliable, device performance is maximized, and information is secure

  • Develop and maintain documentation for applications and systems as well as business continuity plans

  • Develop knowledge of all related internal IT systems

  • Train and provide all levels of help desk support to end users

  • Stay current with emerging technologies that achieve or enhance departmental goals and objectives

  • Complete objectives in a fast-paced and multi-tasked manner to ensure all critical deadlines are achieved

  • Work collaboratively with peers to achieve departmental goals

  • Design system administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, information technology, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of experience and education)

  • 5 to 8 years of DSI development platform and integration, or related experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Able to work with many different systems and develop improvements to an evolving infrastructure

  • Able to communicate and translate complex technical topics into easy to understand concepts

  • Able to demonstrate written and verbal communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate with business users, stakeholders, technical teams, and senior management

  • Able to manage multiple various projects and bring them to successful completion

  • Able to organize time and resources effectively to achieve goals (i.e., organizational skills)

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
